Shaun Dykes, 17, fell from the car-park in Derby city-centre after police negotiators had spent
three hours trying to talk him down.
Shaun is sincerly missed, hundreds of people shed tears for him at his funeral.
The worst thing in life is to lose a friend,
A friend that means the world to you,
A friend that you put all your trust and faith in.
A friend you believe in from the start.
A friends that took the center of your heart.
A friend you'd die for,
A friend you wanted to cherish for a lifetime.

Hi Shaun it is nearly a year since that day last September. I was there and wished i could have helped you and stopped you doing what u did. You had your whole life ahead of u . i wish your family well and will pray for them and u too . Goodnight sleep tight. You are with the angels and im sure you are one of them xxx

I hope those who taunted you feel ashamed of their appalling behaviour. Why are people so cruel to those in need of help & compassion? Have they learned nothing? It broke my heart to read of your passing Shaun sweetheart. I truly hope you have found peace now. God Bless you, love Gill xxx

I was so sorry to read about your death Shaun, and
about the events surrounding it. Someone should have noticed how bad things had hecome for you.
Hopefully you are happier now.

I'm not sure I can believe in hell, but those who taunted Shaun (did they know him?) may one day have "to stand before the Eyes of God and speak what was done". Maybe then they will feel the pain that Shaun felt and what their words did to him. In sending my love, as someone who was (a long time ago) a boy who loved another at 17, and felt pain, I also know the other boy will be going through torment at this time. We need to get angry so people can be who they are. We need to get angry when others are cruel towards the vulnerable. Kind regards, Jan
